    Our Biography

We are Dorothee and Jamey Osmond! Pets are a “lifestyle” for us because animals are very much part of our professional and personal life. Our home is shared with our 2 dogs Shilo and Arlee; our 2 kitties George and Bones; and our 3 children Ben, Fynn and Emma. Living on a small farm, we have 4 pleasure horses, Spanky, Buckwheat, Scout and Rango; ponies for the kids, Baldwin, KD, Bella and Rosie: we also accommodate a growing barn cat population: Current residents are Rocky, Max and Mega!

Jamey has been at the Mount Brydges Animal Clinic since graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), with honors, in the spring of 2001.  At that time it was a mixed animal practice and he enjoyed both companion and production animal care.  With this experience, loyalty developed to the people of the area so he, along with his wife Dorothee, purchased the practice in 2006.

Dorothee has a Bachelor of Science Degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, with honors, from the OVC, University of Guelph.  She graduated in 2002 and has practiced strictly small animal medicine in the London area.

It is our goal and passion to provide outstanding care to YOUR 4 legged family members. We hope that by always keeping our core values – Communication, Compassion, Knowledge, Respect and Pet First - close to heart, our team can provide our clients and patients with professional, caring, and consistent service each time they visit.

Hi my name is Anne. I joined the Mount Brydges Animal Clinic in 1981. I was a young newlywed at that time. Many things have changed over the years. My Husband and I have raised 2 wonderful children and have had some very special pets along the way. I feel the team here is an extension of my own family!

Outside of work I enjoy crafting, DIY and doing Stained Glass. My husband Rob and I share our home with Sully the lovable Cairn Terrier, Floyd our son's epileptic Pointer and Martini the "infamous" cat who hates coming to the clinic.

  • Doug

    Receptionist

    Hi there!

When I began working with the staff here at Mt. Brydges Animal Clinic it quickly became evident that €œpet first was not just the philosophy of the clinic, but words that each and every member live and work by. The unique assortment of animal lovers this clinic has acquired makes it a perfect setting to receive the best care possible for your loved ones. I have always had pets, whether it be my first cat Snowball who cuddled and nipped at you within a matter of minutes, the various dogs I have always had around me growing up, or my passion for horses, I have always had animals around me. I completed a degree in Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University and followed that up with a Masters degree in Library and Information Science in London, ON at The University of Western Ontario. I joined the reception team here back in June 2013 and have loved the experience of getting to know the regular clients as well as the new faces who come to our clinic.

  • Lydia Bloemendal

    Receptionist

    Hi there!

My name is Lydia, and I am a recent addition to the team, starting in June 2020.
When Jamey called me one day, asking if I was interested in supporting the MBAC team, I knew I had to say yes! The clinic offers exceptional support to clients and their furry family members, and I knew it was an environment I wanted to be a part of.

For the past seven years, I have supported at-risk and disadvantaged youth in downtown London, and continue this work outside of my time with the clinic. I graduated with a Social Service Worker Diploma at Fanshawe College in 2014, and hope to complete a Bachelor of Social Work Degree through Dalhousie University within the next few months.

In my spare time, you can find me in the garden, watering my many house plants, practicing cello, pouring yet another cup of coffee, or spending time with my niece and nephews.

  • Michael

    Kennel Assistant

Hi, my name is Michael and I joined the Mount Brydges Animal Clinic in 2014 as a Kennel Assistant. I grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland and moved to Mount Brydges in 1999.

I grew up with three Rough Collies, but now my house is full of cats. When I started at the Clinic I had 4 cats (Maverick, Coconut, Patches and Emma), but it did not take long before my wife and I found ourselves adding to our family when we adopted a stray kitten (Shug) that was brought in. I have always had an attachment to animals, but it was not until a medical crisis with one of our cats that I became invested in wanting to work with them.

In my spare time you will usually find me outside in our garden, or kicking a football (soccer ball) around with my son, Hugh; in the background, and there will likely be a Beatles song playing!
